1987 Dodge D150 – HEMI SWAP           

 

Originally a slant 6 with a 904,
and that was pulled out and replaced with a Gen 3 Hemi and A727.  Only 70,000 original miles on this truck and
I am the 3rd owner (the first being Mercer Brick)

 

All new suspension and drivetrain
and the interior was kept stock, including the column shift and radio. 

 

Has a great patina, and only one
spot of rust over the right rear tire.

Was loved the first year or so of
her life after the swap, but she sits now and someone else needs to enjoy
her.  Add your own set of new shoes (the
ones on currently are not enough to handle the Hemi if you “drive” her) and
have fun for miles.

I have multiple boxes of old parts
I took off including the original trans crossmember and solid rear window.

Almost! all receipts from the
swap, etc purchased from Holley and Ebay (motor was sourced local from a 2013
Charger Pursuit, wrecked in the rear) and I have some in progress pictures but
not a lot. 

I have a NEW smooth chrome bumper for
the rear to match the front that needs brackets and a tow hitch to be installed
that will come with the truck, the rear step is booger welded on and should not
be used to tow!
