While surviving examples of the ZN1300 have become scarce globally, units free from damage—such as corrosion—are even rarer. This ZN1300 has not undergone any restoration or repainting; yet, free from any significant corrosion or scratches, it has maintained its superb condition for 41 years. The ZN1300, in particular, is known to have a weak point in its fuel tank, which is prone to corrosion; however, this specific unit is in excellent condition. The mileage is extremely low—just 20,699 miles.
The ZN1300’s signature six-cylinder engine is susceptible to severe cylinder liner damage if coolant maintenance is neglected; however, this particular unit currently shows no signs of corrosion, and the water pump remains in excellent condition. The fuel pump has been replaced with a Bosch unit, and a fuel pressure gauge has been added.
This six-cylinder engine remains both powerful and smooth. Please watch the video to see the engine's condition and driving performance. A longer version of the video has also been uploaded to YouTube (please add an "h" to the beginning of the URL).
Most of the electrical components are functional, though the cassette player does not appear to be working. The CB radio powers on, but I am unfamiliar with how to operate it. The onboard drive computer is also operational. The electric compressor for the shock absorbers works as well. The distinctive air horn is also in perfect working order.
Most Voyagers still in existence today are four-cylinder models, while six-cylinder versions have become scarce. I believe it is unlikely that large cruisers of this caliber will ever be produced again. I encourage you to consider adding this one to your collection.
