1981 Ford Fairmont – LS-Swapped Drag / Performance Project.
Professionally assembled by Universal Auto of Hutto, TX
Clean Texas Title (signed; transfer in progress). Non-road-legal. Runs and rolls under its own power. Built as a drag racing / performance project. Electrical system gutted for race setup. Rear tire rub wheel well (needs lift kit or quarter-panel mod). Not currently street legal. Extensive handwritten build notes and photos included.
Engine GM LQ4 6.0L iron block V8 (2004-era).
Stock LQ4 short block / bottom end.
LS3 rectangular-port cylinder heads.
9.5:1 compression pistons.
BTR Stage 2 camshaft.
BTR 660 valve spring kit.
Trunnion upgrade kit installed.
Timing chain and related valvetrain components replaced.
Holley 750 CFM carburetor with intake manifold.
MSD ignition system professionally assembled.
Builder estimates approximately 450 horsepower at the bottom end.
Transmission and Drivetrain
TH350 automatic transmission rebuilt from core with shift kit installed (in limp mode)
3000-stall torque converter.
Stock flywheel.
Rear End Ford 7.5-inch rear axle with Trac-Lok (posi) differential and 2.73:1 gears.
Exhaust Headers installed.
2.5-inch exhaust system with performance mufflers.
