I am the original owner of a 1979 Ford F150 4x4 Custom ordered with a factory installed floor mounted 4 speed transmission linked to a high/low transfer case. Factory installed options included power brakes and steering, sliding rear window, and aluminum bed rails. The truck was used occasionally in the summer months during the first six years of ownership. In 1987 I decided to upgrade my Ford Custom to a high performance Show Vehicle. I replaced the six cylinder engine with a period correct M400 Ford OEM engine. A four barrel carburetor was mounted to an Edelbrock intake manifold. Premium Hedman Headers and performance exhausts were mounted outside the truck’s frame. The exhaust system was upgraded to 3 inches with cherry bomb mufflers. A 4 inch Rancho lift kit was installed to include front coils, rear springs, and upgraded shocks. Custom ladder bars were added and a 4.10 locker was installed in the rear end with a 4.10 Dana 44 limited-slip differential mounted on the front drive. The truck was ordered in a rare Medium Poly Metallic Gold; however, the paint was not show quality so I had the truck professionally painted in the same color using premium German Glasurit two stage paint which was considered as the ultimate paint at that time. Original Alcoa Mickey Thompson aluminum wheels were mounted with BF Goodrich 35.0 x 12.50 15 inch radial tires. OEM Ford chrome window and body trim was installed. Smitty built custom front and rear 3 inch chrome pipe bumpers were also added After the upgrade was completed, the truck was only driven during the summers to car shows and and on weekends. The truck was placed into storage during 1990 and remained in storage until 2017. The truck was uncovered, tuned up, and started and was seen by my three children for the first time. My oldest son drove the truck to his graduation prom. During the past six years I have enjoyed cleaning and polishing the truck and admiring its beauty. The truck body is all original Ford OEM as delivered to me and there is no rust whatsoever on any part of the body. The interior dash is original and in perfect condition and the seats have been upgraded. The truck has never been driven in the mud, rain or snow and it has always been stored in a climate controlled environment. The truck has not been restored, it has its original Ford OEM body with no bonding or leading. The truck has always been a head turner and more so now due to its condition and age. I posses a clean transferable title as well as the actual original title issued when purchased which will be included with the truck. The current odometer reading of 32,111 reflects the actual and true mileage.
