About this vehicle
The 1979 Chevrolet G10 Extended Van has been updated with modifications to the exterior, interior, and drivetrain over the past 4 years of ownership. With a white & black color and only 100,000 miles on the odometer, this van is a reliable and a old school classic option for weekend drives. The owner has put in the necessary work to ensure that this vehicle is both functional and enjoyable to drive, making it a great choice for those looking for a unique and personalized transportation option.
Add a new paint job and hit the car shows
Van is still registered in Oregon. I added denatured alcohol to lower the emissions to get through DEQ twice..
The floors and wall insulation was sealed heavily with strong adhesive glue. It does not squeak or make any noise driving down the road. I added all the sound proofing and thick pink panther insulation to the walls to get rid of the road noise.still needs carpet which will help reduce noise even better. I made this Van for camping. So you can sleep in it and be comfortable. You can hook up to the invertor and plug your electronics in. Or add solar panels.
Seller's Notes
The 6 cylinder original engine was swapped out for a 350 engine. I have had no problems with the performance..I did have to put in a new transmission modulator when it stopped running.
The Van currently has 1990 front doors..I had them repaired and painted on outside of door.
I will include a set of 1978 front doors that came off of a motor home camper. I have 2 new old school OEM white door mirrors. A brand new lock mechanism and brand new OEM chrome handle for the sliding door. I palm sanded it and spray painted it black. I have the pop out windows and gasket to install on the sliding door
Front doors and sliding door and all new parts are included in the price. The gear shifter is a little loose. I had a new steering gear box and pitman arm installed. The bushing could be cracked..

The LED Digital cluster speedometer speed censor is not registering. It worked when the electrician installed it. It was leaking transmission fluid where the adapter hooks into the transmission.
