This is a barn find that I have owned for just over a year. It's a Norwood car, built in September 1968 based on my research of the VIN (124379N510342).
The car came out of northern Ohio, where it reportedly sat in a barn for 40 years. It is believed to be an original big block 396 and Super Sport, although it is a pre-X car. (There is the grease pencil "X" on the interior metal work behind the back seat.) The odometer reads "27575." (See photo.)
The car was featured on the YouTube channel "Backyard Barn Finds," whose host concluded the car is likely a true big block car. You can view that video here - https://youtu.be/36JvL72L6AM?si=eM0YWbsvabldZYDv.
The car has no motor or transmission, and has significant rust throughout the body and subframe. The rails are virtually non-existent. (The motor in the car when I bought it was a small block Chevy with a two-barrel and a power glide transmission. The original owner evidently replaced the original motor and manual transmission early on in the car's life due to gas costs at the time. You will see that engine in the YouTube video.)
This is a major renovation project not for the feint-hearted and best left for the pros. What you see is what you get. That being the case, I think the car is worth saving, but is well-beyond my skill level (and wallet) to renovate.
This YouTube video shows the car right after it was pulled out of the barn - https://youtu.be/Ka6LPLPbpRQ?si=P1ijOr4VVGMWfYHw
The car has been in my garage out of the elements for the entire time that I have owned it.
The winning bidder will have to make arrangements for shipping or trailer the car themselves.
