67K original mi Zero rust Eastern WA farm truck prior to my renovations.
FE 390 mid level build with about 20k on since and a T18 Manual 4 speed transmission.
Ford 9” 3.50 Open rear lets you do 80 on freeway fairly quietly but still launches aggressively.
Rebuilt Demon 750 double pump carb with AN fuel log and inline gauge with hardline to pump makes it leakproof and easy to tune.
Pertronix / Duraspark conversion with RightStuff 1 wire Alternator / VR delete IMO makes it more reliable and simple to service.
Power steering and Dentside disc brake conversion with vacuum boost makes it more safe and easier to drive.
3” front drop on Explorer springs and 2” shackle rear drop gives a nice stance with comfortable ride and some haul capacity.
I’ve owned it for 9 years during which I have made extensive renovations, with the majority done this recent winter.
Below is the status of each component and recent repairs I have made to each respectively.
EXT:
Body all original sheet metal that’s very straight save for a few imperfections that will come out easily.
Probably a second paint job over the stock one bleeds through in areas for what I feel is a beautiful sweaty patina showing it’s done an honest day’s work. It presents well and gets compliments. Front grill is mint OEM anodized aluminum and obviously for 66 which looks way cooler IMO. Rear bumper also OEM and perfect. Chrome side trim is also mint OEM with new mounting clips and could be buffed to a mirror shine. No chips or cracks in the glass and new Dennis carpenter gaskets front and back with OEM CC front chrome trim, also mint. Fomoco spotlight works great and is cool as shit. Don’t have the specs on it but it has a nice lopey cam and pulls hard begging to butter up the rears. I have to feather the clutch without weight in the bed. DETAILS:
I’m passing her on as I start another resto on a bumpside highboy. It’s a nice looking, good running, rust free survivor in daily driver condition I would trust to drive cross country. I’m located in Olympia WA and willing to ship if you handle logistics. I have a lift and can FaceTime or provide undercarriage pics upon request from serious inquiries. Classic plates and WA title in my name. Cash only accepted within 48 hours of auction end. Lots of time and money in this thing with high quality OEM parts so I’m fairly firm, but reasonable and open to input. I usually only consider offers made in person with cash in hand.
