Offered here is the legendary survivor custom the 1957 Ford custom known as the White Pearl, a true 1950s time capsule with remarkable documented history and originality. John North who some say was the George Barris of the East coast, purchased this car new and immediately customized it. This custom was a major hit in the 1950s when it was shown as you can see from the photo of John North and his family surrounded by all the trophies the car won. Gene Pitney, who was the cousin of John North's wife and a neighbor, eventually convinced John North to sell it to him. Gene Pitney was known to personally drive the White Pearl custom to many of his concerts where he performed.
This 1957 Ford custom is one of the best known SURVIVING Customs that exist.

This 1957 Ford was ordered new in 1957 with the E-code engine package (300 HP)! and was immediately sent out for professional custom work per John North’s instructions. John North of Rockville CT was often called the George Barris of the East Coast. This period-built show car won more awards than almost any other custom of the 1950s.
Later the “White Pearl” Was owned by hit singer-songwriter Gene Pitney. The steering wheel cover is tuck and roll and signed by Pitney.
Currently the car has spent the last 25 plus years and a well-known private collection.
