This 1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe is a world-class, all-steel custom built to compete and finished to a level few cars ever reach. An NZNRA Street Rod of the Year winner with Best Paint and multiple Best of Show awards, it stands among the most recognized custom builds to come out of New Zealand. The body was extensively reworked by Cascade Auto Finish of Auckland, New Zealand, under the direction of John Lisle, using traditional leaded seams and precise metal shaping. A 3" chopped top, one-piece front guard, shaved boots, lowered headlights, deleted bumpers, custom bull nose, and shaved side panels refine the coupe's profile while preserving its unmistakable 1936 character. A one-off stainless grille hand-made by Don Stark of Metal Art in Idaho anchors the front, while frenched taillights with Juliano's LED upgrades finish the rear. The car is finished in House of Kolor Brandywine Pearl, cleared twice and finished to 3000-grit, delivering exceptional depth and clarity. Power comes from an Edelbrock 350ci Chevrolet crate engine rated at 320 horsepower, backed by a TH350 automatic transmission and a Ford 9" rear axle with 3.55 gears and limited-slip differential. The coupe rides on a TCI Pro-Air chassis with mini tubs, front independent suspension, rear four-link, RideTech ShockWave air suspension, Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes, and power steering, with a custom 2.5" exhaust routed through the frame. Inside, a Deco-inspired leather interior by Stiches of Auckland, New Zealand features a traditional bench seat, 1936 upper dash grafted to a 1932 lower, Classic Instruments gauges, Banjo-style Ford steering wheel, and Ididit tilt column. Modern air conditioning and heat via Vintage Air and a discreet Sony audio system complete the cabin. This 1936 Ford 3 Window Coupe is not simply an award winner.
